“Can Do” Franciso Urena

I first met Francisco about a year ago at the Blackburn Challenge when he was checking out all the boats on the beach as we all finished. Francisco, characteristically of his personality, jumped into surfskis with great enthusiasm after kayaking for a number of years. He is now a regular at all the races and is the race director for the Great Stone Dam Classic Race in on the Merrimack River in Lawrence, Ma. The below link was an article done in the Valley Patriot newpaper a few years ago. Sean Milano passed it along to me. It is a nice article that highlights Francisco’s “can do” attitude professionally and personally. I wanted to share it with our paddling community.
