The Race Season Begins in New England.  Yeah!! SurfskiRacing.com and Stellar Surfskis will be hosting the Series again this year. The Top 3 finishers of the point series will be awarded prizes at the L2L Race, which wraps up the Series. Last year Joe Glickman won the series, while I came in second and Eric McNett came in third.  Last years races were predominately flat water races on the ocean with the exception of the Double Beaver and the Lighthouse to Lighthouse Race.  So hopefully we will get more conditions this year to make things more interesting. We should have more people racing this year since more guys have surfskis than last year.  A doubles race will be held in June out of Groton Long Point for all the guys that have tandem surfskis. Same rules apply for the Series as last year. See the Series tab for details.

I fully expect the series to be even closer this year. Although last year the 2nd/3rd place came down to the last race, the L2L, between Eric and myself.  I also expect that our Premier Race races, the Blackburn Challenge, East Coast Surfski Championships(JCR), and the L2L will have even bigger numbers this year with more paddlers from the East Coast making plans to attend these races.
