Join us for this exciting nine mile rough water ocean race. Can you Ride the Bull? This series is part of the SurfskiRacing.com Series sponsored by Stellar. We laid out the course to go along the rocks and small cliffs to test your rough water skills. Course starts at Fort Wetherill, going over to Mackeral Cove then out to Hull cove, then retrace your course, passing the start line, then to through the gap between Bull Point Rock and shore to the Green Can outside of House on the Rocks and back to finish which is at the launch area 50 yards from the start line.  Scroll down to the link for 30 pics I took at various times so you can have a surf ski view of what to look for on the course.  Read the my comments on each individual picture for more detail. I strongly urge you to do this. If you don’t, well good luck! I don’t have an inside pick of Hull cove. There is a turn buoy, chlorox orange bottles, in this cove to make a left hand turn on.  This turn is about 3.5 miles from start.

You MUST wear your PDF and have a bomb proof leash. No novice or inexperienced rough water paddlers. If the course is too big we will have an alternative course and put in most likely at Bay Voyage Inn and run course North under Newport Bridge around buoy or boat and back.  I strongly suggest you look at a chart and know where you are going. We tried to make it as simple as possible while keeping it next to the shore for added fun. Click on these pics to englarge them for better viewing and see Link below more pics.
