The video by Chris Chappell, above, is me demoing the Think Uno 1G on the Charles River in 2009. I bought that boat knowing I could only paddle it on flat water or calm ocean conditions. Although I paddled it once on part of the Ride the Bull Course, one of our roughest race courses without capsizing.

Now the Uno 2G is out and is a different ski than the 1G. I purchased it from my buddies Mark/Mark at Elite Ocean Sports in South Carolina.  Despite working for Stellar(6 of the last 7 years) since 2010 when the company launched, I still continue to review skis. I am more selective now and it has to be ski I am really interested in like the Uno. I enjoyed the Uno 1G since the bucket so comfortable and at the time I wanted a fast flat water ski when I was not paddling my Mohican on flat water in 2009. I time trial the Mohican and Uno 1G frequently. This Uno 1G was incredibly fast for me on flat water with excellent seating. Above are a few more pics. I let Erik Borgnes borrow it twice for the Blackburn and for the Majors Cup.

The Uno 2G is a lower volume ski designed for the medium to smaller paddler. A few years ago I compared the other low volume skis, Epic V10L, Fenn Spark, Stellar SES 1G and 2G and now the Uno 2G joins that group along with the new Nelo 560M that I have paddled.

You could add the Huki S1x to this group since it has lower volume than the S1X Special as I think about it. So I will share my thoughts on how the new Uno 2G compares generally to these other skis. It is still winter here in New England so I have to pick and choose my days to paddle for another month but stay tuned.
